WITH MUSIC LESSONS!

1.

THINK ABOUT YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC

We believe that learning is easier and more fun when you’re learning the songs you love. Come prepared to answer the question: What music do you enjoy listening to?  What are your favorite songs?

2.

DO YOU HAVE AN INSTRUMENT?

You will need to have an instrument to practice with at home. If you’re unsure if you (or your child) will like playing the instrument long-term, consider renting instead of buying. We can help you with where to rent or buy an instrument.

Also, depending on availability, we may have an instrument to loan to you, so please ask when you sign up.

3.

START LESSONS FOR YOUR CHILD WHEN IT'S RIGHT FOR THEM

We are often asked what the right age is to start one-on-one lessons, and while this is usually around 5-6 years of age, it depends on your child’s ability to focus as well as follow instructions. You may also want to consider if your child will do well in a one-on-one set up or if they might thrive better in a group class.

4.

TIME PLAYING YOUR INSTRUMENT IS KEY TO ENJOYABLE LESSONS

A little bit often goes a long way when it comes to regular practice. Being consistent enables a student to build on the skills they’ve developed in class and make progress. The sense of accomplishment is part of the fun!
