Violin Teacher:
Position Overview
Teach private voice lessons to students of varying ages and experience levels in 30, 45, and 60 minute lesson formats.
Our students enjoy exploring a wide variety of musical styles, including pop, musical theatre, rock, jazz, folk, and classical music. The ideal candidate is comfortable helping students develop healthy vocal technique while encouraging artistic expression, confidence, and strong performance skills
In addition to weekly lessons, you'll help students prepare for school musicals, auditions, recitals, talent shows, competitions, and other performances, tailoring instruction to each student's individual goals.
You'll have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with your students while helping them grow as singers, musicians, and confident performers.
What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Music, Vocal Performance, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience preferred

Previous voice teaching experience with students of varying ages and abilities

Strong understanding of healthy vocal technique and age-appropriate instruction

Ability to teach a variety of musical styles, including pop, musical theatre, and contemporary repertoire

Experience preparing students for auditions, school musicals, recitals, and performances is highly desirableAbility to teach additional instruments a plus e.g. piano or guitar

Ability to accompany students on the piano strongly preferedExcellent lesson planning, communication, and organizational skills

Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching style

Ability to build strong relationships with students and their families

Commitment to tracking student progress and communicating regularly with parents about their child's musical development

A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to In Tune's supportive teaching community

Weekday after-school and Saturday availability

Availability to participate in student recitals and school events, particularly our annual recitals in May and June
