In Tune offers a variety of instrument lessons and group classes for all ages and skill levels. We emphasize personal connections among instructors, students, and parents, providing structured and enjoyable music lessons that inspire students to achieve their musical goals.
Our Story
At music school, founder John Brophy realized that he loved teaching guitar, and after getting a business degree, knew that his dream of starting a music school could be realized. After gaining valuable teaching and business experience at New York City Guitar School, and moving to Maplewood, John turned that dream into reality by teaching out of his home, expanding his studio by hiring teachers, and then moving into the beloved Maplewood Theater Building in 2016.

To inspire students to achieve their musical goals, and to keep music as a valuable part of life.

Everyone is musical!
Students learn when they are interested and engaged, so we teach music fundamentals through songs they love. We believe the rewards of musical achievement go with you into life and help create community now and in the future.

To be a welcoming place in our community for both kids and adults to learn how to play their favorite music, and develop the confidence, perseverance and motivation to face up to life's challenges.
